The Smallgoods Industry Group represents the smallgoods and further processors of Australia.
Strategic Goals
The following strategic goals have been identified and acknowledged as the key issues for the smallgoods sector of AMIC and for smallgoods members in the industry for 2004 - 2006.
- COMMUNICATIONS
To develop and maintain a systematic approach to effective and efficient communications within the smallgoods sector of AMIC.
- RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS
To continue to build on the existing relationships with organizations associated with the smallgoods sector of AMIC, promote the smallgoods sector in AMIC and enhance the value of membership.
- TRAINING
To enhance the development and uptake a training programs across the sector.
- PROJECTS & PROGRAMS
To identify and implement various projects and programs which provide a benefit to all smallgoods members and to AMIC.
- ACCOUNTABILITY
To maintain adequate and sufficient procedures in place for the accountability of all of the administration of smallgoods programs including the proper conduct of national smallgoods council activities.
- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
To maintain the reporting of all financial activities of AMIC to the National Smallgoods Council, ensure that each Division is cost neutral and to achieve budget for all Divisions and smallgoods programs.
