AMIC manages Australia’s premier red meat industry Conference. In 2009 it was held at the Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast – September 24-25. Over 290 people attended the Conference representing a cross section of the Australian red meat processing sector. Strategic Goals
The following strategic goals have been identified and acknowledged as the key issues for the Processor and Export sector of AMIC and for Processor and Export members.
- COMMUNICATIONS
To develop and maintain a systematic approach to effective and efficient communications within the Processor and Export sector of AMIC.
- MARKET ACCESS
To assist members, wherever possible, with market access issues facing both domestic and export businesses.
- RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS
To continue to build on the existing relationships with organisations associated with the Processor and Export sector of AMIC, promote the Processor and Export sector in AMIC and enhance the value of membership.
- TRAINING
To enhance the development and uptake of training programs across the sector.
- PROJECTS & PROGRAMS
To identify and implement various projects and programs which provide a benefit to all Processor and Export members and to AMIC.
- ACCOUNTABILITY
To maintain adequate and sufficient procedures in place for the accountability of all of the administration of Processor and Export programs including the proper conduct of national and state Processor and Export council activities.
- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
To maintain the reporting of all financial activities of AMIC to the National Export and Processor Councils ensure that each Division is cost neutral and to achieve budget for all Divisions and Processor and Export programs.
