THE 2009 SOUTH AUSTRALIAN
REGIONAL SAUSAGE KING COMPETITION

The South Australian Sausage King and Smallgoods Competitions commenced in May and progressed to the State Final on 23 July. Promotional activities will be held at the Meating Place at the Royal Adelaide Show in from 4th to 12th September 2009. Each day some of the delicious sausages entered in the entire Regional Competition will be grilled and served to the public for tasting. Other meat-related activities will also be taking place, such as sausage making demonstrations and tips on preparing various cuts of meat.

The first Sausage King Heat was held at Port Pirie in the Mid North and followed on through June and July with other regions. Presentations to winners were made at the Members Big Night Out on Saturday 15 August 2009.

The SA competitions are in their ninth year and there is no doubt the quality of products in all categories of both competitions improves year by year.
