AMIC Competitions and Events

AMIC offers an extensive and changing calendar of competitions and events. These are designed to promote a spirit of competitiveness and achievement amongst members. For the winners and placegetters of these competitios and events, they are also a valuable means to publicise their triumphs to customers; regular and potential. Competition winners and placegetters often report increased sales from publicising their achievements. 

Events such as Award Night Dinners, Trade Days, and various seminars provide other opportunities to meet and learn about current issues affecting their businesses. AMIC also participates at the Royal Shows in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth Royal. These Shows give members a chance to view interesting demonstrations. They also act as the venue for some of the state competitions.

These competitions and events are categorised under Retail, Smallgoods and Processor.

Retail competitions and events include:

• The Sausage King Competitions which are run in all states and cumulate in the National Sausage King event
• Industry Award Night Dinners
• Stands at Royal Shows in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth
• The Independent Local Butcher National Trade Day/Show
• Many retail members also enter Smallgoods competitions in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.

AMIC publishes State and National newsletters on a bi-monthly basis. They are mailed to members along with various inserts that provide additional on AMIC services.
