Member Network Meetings
This year, AMIC is introducing regular Member Network Meetings to share successful ideas in our industry and provide educational opportunities to learn business skills for today’s business environment.

Our objective is to feature topics that can assist you in operating your business more successfully covering the areas of food safety; financial management; human resources; apprentice schemes; marketing your business and driving profitable sales.

Our first meeting was held on March 8th at the Hunter TAFE
Newcastle campus. Wayne McGee, the Head Teacher of 
Meat and Allied Trades talked to Hunter area members 
about apprentice training and also took them on a site tour.

Other speakers covered Apprenticeships and New Business
opportunities and feedback from all involved believed it was
a very productive meeting. 

Our second meeting will be held on Tuesday April 4th at 
Club Willoughby on Sydney's north shore from 1-3:30 pm.
The agenda includes an introduction to the Member 
Engagement plan (MEP), WH&S support and much more.

AMIC will email invitations to members in each region when 
a Member Network Meeting will be held. However, anyone
is welcome to attend any meeting that is more convenient
for them. 

More details on the venues, times and agendas will be 
updated as they are confirmed and emailed in to you 
regional invitations.

 The 2017 Regional Sausage King and Best Butcher's Burger Competitions
This year as the result of your feedback, we have some changes in both competitions to bring to your attention:
 The Traditional Australian category of the Sausage King is now called Traditional Australian Beef.
 The Best Butchers Burger now has 2 categories - Beef Burger & Gourmet/Open Class, (any species). 

The Regional Competition kicks off in the Far South Coast on May 4th and runs until all 18 state regions have been completed on August 10th. Our State Final will be held in Tamworth for the first time on September 23rd.
