The 2009 Victorian Sausage King
and Smallgoods Competitions
|
Our first heat covered the North East region and was held on 23 July.
We have had an excellent response to the new Lamb/Open Class category, which has now proved popular across the state. It seems our butchers have greeted this with open arms, offering up some superb sausages for judging in each heat so far.

AMIC’s Victorian Member Services Officer (and former butcher!) Peter Spence (right) donned his apron and twirled his tongs to cook a magnificent variety of products to perfection, as he also did in the South West heat, which was held at South West TAFE in Warrnambool on 6 August. Our thanks go out to Paul Meredith, Jock Starkie, Wayne Perry and David Suggett, South West TAFE for providing a fantastic venue.
